Certified Referees

Canadian Arm Wrestling Federation (CAWF) certified referees (both the head referee and the spotter) are used at all OAA events.

If you are interested in becoming a CAWF certified referee, you must take part in a referee clinic. Clinics are held every year at the Canadian Armwrestling Championships, as well as at the Ontario Provincial Championships (if enough demand exists). For more information on becoming a referee, visit the Refereeing in Canada website. There are four referee levels - Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Master. Generally, the higher the level, the more experienced the referee.

These are some of the current active certified referees in Ontario. If you are interested in holding a tournament, you will need to have one or more of these individuals officiate. Many referees may be willing to travel outside of their area.
