Teams

Many Ontario competitors train with other pullers on a regular basis. OAA members can get together and form official "teams". Teams will compete throughout the year for the "Team of the Year" award. Points are earned at Circuit Sanctioned events and the Provincial Championships in the following manner:

• One point is automatically earned by a competitor who competes in an event.
• Additional points are earned for the best five placings ( 1^st place = 5 points; 2^nd place = 4 points; 3^rd place = 3 points; 4^th place = 2 points; 5^th place = 1 point). Because competitors can earn points for a right arm class as well as a left arm class, team points earned at an event could come from just three team members even if additional members are competing.
• The Tournament Director, Referees, Scorekeeper, and Emcee earn 1 point each.

Teams can be composed of an unlimited number of members.

If you are a puller who is looking to join a team, there are a number that exist that may be accepting new members. Try contacting some pullers in your area.

Team rosters (as well as changes to team rosters) are to be sent to the President.
