Teams

Many Ontario pullers train with other pullers on a regular basis. OAA members can get together and form official "teams". Teams will compete throughout the year for the "Team of the Year" award. Points are earned at Circuit Sanctioned events in the following manner:

• One point is awarded for each arm the competitor pulls with at a tournament. For instance, if a competitor pulls will both the right and left arms, he automatically earns 2 points. However, if he pulls more than one class with the same arm, he only earns 1 point for that arm.
• Additional points are awarded to armwrestlers who finish in the top five in their category. 1^st place = 5 points; 2^nd place = 4 points; 3^rd place = 3 points; 4^th place = 2 points; 5^th place = 1 point. If a competitor pulls two categories with the same arm, he is only awarded points for one category (the one with the higher placing).

Teams can be composed of up to 10 members. Team members can be changed within a year, but if a member is replaced, all points earned by this member are lost.

If you are a puller who is looking to join a team, there are a number that exist that may be accepting new members. Try contacting some pullers in your area.
